Funds from the James Davis Trust are utilized for tool scholarships for Forestry and Natural Resources students attending Grays Harbor College to acquire the required tools and equipment for coursework that will later be utilized in the workforce.
Eligibility Criteria
- Be a 1st-year student in forestry and natural resource classes. 2nd-year students are eligible to apply if they did not receive a James Davis Tool Scholarship in their 1st year of study.
- Maintain a “B-” or higher in the fall quarter.
Award Amounts
If granted, the scholarship will be reported to Financial Aid, and the award amount may fluctuate depending on the availability within a student’s financial aid package.

- Describe who or what inspired you to choose your course of study.
- What traits or abilities do you possess that will help you excel in your education and future career?
- What does “work ethic” mean to you, and how will you apply it in college and the workforce?
- What are your plans after completing your degree at Grays Harbor College?
