Executive Director

A proud Harborite, Smith has served as Executive Director of the Grays Harbor College Foundation and Director of College Development since 2017. Born and raised in North River and a 2002 graduate of Aberdeen High School, Smith is a product of the very community she now serves. She was among the early participants in World Class Scholars, a tuition scholarship program that connects local high school graduates with opportunity at Grays Harbor College.

Smith earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Central Washington University before returning home to invest in her community. Her career has spanned leadership roles in the timber industry, renewable fuels sector, and financial advising, giving her a broad understanding of the economic landscape that shapes our region.

At the Foundation, Smith is known for her ability to connect people and purpose—matching donor passion with student potential and aligning community investment with college priorities. She brings heart, vision, and strategic leadership to the work of transforming lives through education.

Her personal motto, “connecting people for the greater good,” is reflected in every partnership she builds, every donor fund she stewards, and every opportunity she helps create for the region she calls home.

Manager of Finance and Operations

PJ Moore is an integral part of Grays Harbor College’s philanthropic efforts, serving as the Manager of Finance and Operations for the Foundation. With more than 10 years of dedicated service, she brings deep institutional knowledge and a strong commitment to supporting the Foundation’s mission to enhance the academic experience for students. In her role, Moore oversees the Foundation’s financial management, day-to-day operations, and administrative systems, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across all functions.

Moore’s passion lies in strengthening the Foundation’s operations, where she thrives in building efficient systems, supporting collaboration, and ensuring that the organization runs smoothly behind the scenes. Through her dedication and unwavering commitment, Moore provides vital support to the Executive Director, Foundation Board members, and the College community—contributing significantly to the Foundation’s initiatives and helping to ensure smooth operations that support meaningful connections between students, donors, and community partners.

Bryn Cavin

Program Manager

As Program Manager, Bryn Cavin coordinates and oversees scholarship, student support, and college support programs for the Grays Harbor College Foundation.

Cavin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature & Writing from Whitworth University. She has previously worked in nonprofit communications, fundraising, and marketing with Capital Area Immigrants’ Rights Coalition, Museum of Glass, the Smithsonian Latino Center, and Tahirih Justice Center. As a proud Aberdeen High School graduate and GHC Running Start alum, Cavin is thrilled be back in the Harbor supporting the Foundation’s work to enhance educational opportunities for GHC students.
