Aberdeen, WA – November 20, 2024 – The Grays Harbor College Foundation knows that students can’t succeed if they’re struggling to meet their basic needs. That’s why supporting the Harbor Landing Food Pantry, a student-run initiative, is so important.

Every week, over 160 students rely on the pantry for essential food items like chicken, dairy, eggs, tuna, and pantry staples such as rice and beans. With food prices rising by 10-12% over the past year, the need for this resource is greater than ever.

The Grays Harbor College Foundation provides financial support to the pantry, helping to purchase food that supplements what’s donated to the pantry. This ensures that students have access to the healthy, nutritious food they need to succeed. The pantry is entirely operated by GHC students, offering them an opportunity to build valuable leadership and teamwork skills while helping their peers.

As food insecurity continues to impact many students in our college community, the Harbor Landing Food Pantry remains a vital resource. You can make a difference by supporting the pantry and helping students in need. Visit our giving page to donate today and ensure that every student has access to the healthy food they need to succeed.
