The Grays Harbor College Foundation proudly stewards the Reuben H. Fleet Legacy Scholarship Endowment—a lasting tribute to a visionary leader whose impact continues to shape our community.
Born in Montesano, Reuben H. Fleet rose from humble beginnings to become an aviation pioneer, Army Air Corps Major, and successful businessman. Throughout his life, he believed deeply in the power of education to transform lives.
Funded through the Reuben H. Fleet Foundation Fund and the Lillian Fleet Bishop Fund at the San Diego Foundation, this scholarship reflects the Fleet family’s commitment to honoring Reuben’s legacy in the community where his story began. His impact is felt across campus, including the Bishop Center for Performing Arts in which he helped fund—named in honor of his sister Lillian and her husband E.K. “Ned” Bishop.
Because of this generous and visionary gift, students at Grays Harbor College can pursue their dreams and strengthen the future of our community.
